Indication
- ALDISA SR is indicated for reduce the nasal congestion
symptoms, sneezing, rhinorrhea, pruritus and lacrimation which are associated with allergic rhinitis and the common cold. - ALDISA SR should be administered when both the antihistaminic properties of Loratadine and the nasal deconges |

Dossage
Adults and children ³ 12 years: 1 capsule, twice a day.

Precaution
- It should be used with caution in patients with glaucoma,
peptic ulcer, stenosis, pyloroduodenal obstruction, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, ischemic heart disease, increased intraocular pressure, hyperthyroidism, renal impairment or prostatic hypertrophy. - It should be avoided in patients with hepatic insufficiency. - Patients with renal insufficiency (GFR < 30 ml/min) should be given a lower initial dose (1 capsule per day) because they have reduced clearance of Loratadine and Pseudoephedrine. - It should be used in pregnancy and during lactation only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus or nursing infant. - Safety and effectiveness in children below the age of 12 years have not been established. - Sympathomimetics may cause CNS stimulation, excitability, convulsion and/or cardiovascular collapse with accompanying hypotension. - In elderly patients (³ 60 years), sympathomimetic amines are also more likely to cause adverse reactions, e.g. confusion, convulsions, hallucination, CNS depression and death. Consequently, caution should be exercised when administering to elderly patients. - At high doses, Pseudoephedrine Sulphate commonly experience an elevation of mood, decreased appetite and a sense of increased physical energy, mental capacity and alertness. Precaution
- Patients with severe liver impairment should be given a
lower initial dose, due to its possibility of lowering Loratadine clearance, recommended initial dose is 5 mg a day or 10 mg every 2 days. - Efficacy and safety of Loratadine use in children under 2 years of age have not been established. - The safety of Loratadine during pregnancy has not been established, it is used only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to fetus. - It should be used with caution in nursing women since Loratadine passes easily into breast milk. |
